Sunday
Good day all day. Kent [[Rolings?]] was down here to see me in the morning. Frank + Margaret Ward was down here for the day. Mary, Robert + I went to movies at night. saw "Father of Bride." good. saw Judy McPherson [[leaving?]] their. wrote [[?]] her a letter about something.

August 7
Monday good hot day all day. Daddy, Robert + I carried last of this years tobacco to the market to be sold tomorrow baled hay on full [[?]] in afternoon. Uncle [[Garret?]] + Aunt Florence was down in afternoon. Called Adina Mae up when I went after Mary from work. hacking tobacco in morning. finished baling hay till this fall. got 1456 bales.

August 8 
Tuesday good day all day. Went up to see Adina Mae at night. Bob over here in afternoon. Daddy, Robert + I to tobacco market in morning + then down on other place. paper [[?]] to [[?]] flour [[?]] [[?]]. hot. wrote to Judy + mailed it,

August 9
Wednesday good day all day. [[?]] 180 bales of tobacco. [[?]] [[?]] after season. [[?]] [[?]] [[?]] [[boarding?]]. the north [[pide?]] of the big farm. Mary to work as usual.
