September 27

Wednesday fair day all day but sun still gives off no heat. Robert and I to school, saw Adina Mae at school & called her up at night. she said she loved me. Men hauled out manure 1/2 a day and cut corn the other half. did not go anywhere at night.

SEPTEMBER 28
Thursday good day all day. Robert to school + I helped Bob cut tobacco during school time. Men cut corn 1/2 a day, hauled out manure 1/2 a day. I called Adina Mae up when I went down to Buddys to get some gas. Went over to see Jack Gross called Aunt Maggie up for Mary.

SEPTEMBER 29
Friday fair day all day. Men cut corn all day. Robert to Laplata Fair with Kent Ralings. I went down on bus. Daddy carried 20 bu of wheat down on other place. I won big doll down at Fair & gave it to Adina Mae. Went to movies at Waldorf, Adina Mae. Mr & Mrs Via. saw "Fancy Pants" (good) Robert + Bob to Marlboro to movies. Helen Straub had Baby boy.

SEPTEMBER 30
Saturday good day all day. Sun out for first Time. Stored up Tobacco + set up corn before dinner. Norris + I halling manure in afternoon, have haled out 42 loads so far. Uncle Gant + Aunt Florence in afternoon. I called Adina Mae up in afternoon. Am suppose to go up there tomorrow. Brent Early & wife at night. I got letter from [[Navy?]] [[Dept]].

September 30--1830--France recognized independence of all the republics South America.
