December 16 Saturday, good day all day. Mother & I went in town to do some shoping & stayed all day. came back by Margaret Wards & stayed there for a while got home 5:45 P.M. Louis Letcher ordered 1 Ton of hay from me, Bob Via got 2 bales of hay. Adina Mae & then, & Mary & I went to movies at night (Lets Dance) got home 10:30 p.m.

December 17 Sunday, good day all day. Man from Brandywine for Christmas tree. Van Brooks got hay. Ridgway got trees.I went to look for Tailgate for truck, called Adina Mae up in the afternoon & up there for a while did not go anywhere at night. Moore got hay.

December 18 Monday good day all day but cold. Robert and I did not go to school. I hauled wood and [[?]] it up & carried 1 cord to [[?]] at Swinys Garage. Robert took holly into Washington. [[crossed out]]Adina Mae & [[?]] went to see "Let's Dance"[[crossed out]] Up to see Adina Mae at night go home 10:30. Took 1 ton of hay to Letcher & 1/2 ton to Moore.

December 19 Tuesday good day all day but cold. Robert & I to school. saw Adina Mae & called her up at night. took bath & went to bed. Robert to Basketball game down to school. Norris shucked corn 1/2 a day & got wood in the other 1/2 day. Proctor here for straw. got 1/2 ton.
