Pleasant at last

Dear Folks.
This is a dull November day, not so cold nor not so very warm. she did not go to church we had a baked fish for our Sunday dinner. I hope you had it pleasant & enjoyed the day, going some where for pleasure I am about to bind the quilt finished notting it yesterday I called up Alice she told me Myrtie was getting through her job yesterday, to start for Vermont with the Smiths, they were going up to spend the holidays & were to take her along bag & baggage. she had been away two years. she called me up also to bid me good bye & said she meant to have come up before she went. seemed pleased to think she was going. I guess she earned quite a little. she is most eligible to receive the old womans pension. that will help her out. 67 years. thirteen years younger than I am. Alice has been substituting three days last week a pity she cant do that kind of work she likes it very much.
