Dear Folks

It has cleared off at last. today is a very sunny day but N West wind is making it cooler. I have been to dinner fresh pork was the bill of fare. I have given away persimmons to every one I can. some like them, but a good many who dont. the baker came we gave him a taste Mrs Barry told him they would pucker his mouth, he told her it would make it all right to kiss her then. with that devilish look in his eye. he is always ready with his answer, you can never get ahead of him. Soper brought his pictures yesterday he gave me one of each, they were taken two in the upstairs room, two in the living room, & one in the kitchen. we think them pretty good. I told Maude to swing around to day after some persimmons. Hazel Drake came yesterday & we gave her a taste, she liked them, so I gave her some to take home to Pearl. Lena may come later she dont get here 'till after dark. then when we turn on to hear Major Bows [[Bowes]] she leaves. Mrs Barry dont like to lose hearing him. Marion Esten says she never goes anywhere untill she hears him at eight O'clock every Sunday night.
