car she had new this summer. she is clothed & fed and her house run by his. (Mardens widow) she says she is very good to her. I take it that when Mrs Marden dies, they will have it all. so she dont need to marry to be supported. by a man she has no use for one any way.
Mrs Barry & I neither of us slept last night. guess the moon was too bright. she has little of her trouble but not nearly as bad. Do you hear from Mr Colcord? Isabelle Purin is bumming her living out of Alice Tilden, she wants to sell her place. she gets her self into good quarters like her mother. Mrs Barry meets her down there once in a while when she goes there to play cards with the crowd. she has grown awful old looking she says & always bemoaning her fate looks ugly. I guess she will never support herself too lazy. she complains of being so tired always doing nothing.
