Stoughton October 4th 1935

Dear Folks

We have had a very pleasant & sunny week no frost to speak of no showers either. everything dry. those little hemlocks the baby set out back of the little building, look as if they were alive, they may survive the winter being set so early. I hope the box gets there safe by tomorrow, it was mailed Wednesday. Mrs Barry went down with her cousin in a taxie cab she sent up for her, to attend a meeting in the church, so they mailed it at the post office early. I was lucky to get a chance to get it there so soon after your letter came in the morning. I hope the quilt was the one you wanted. it was the last one I made & was not very heavy or as large as some. if not right I will send you down another so please let me know. 

Mrs Barry expects Frank Reynolds to practice a piece with her they have prevailed on her to sing Sunday in church he is coming to night. Mary Laython called her up on the phone the other day to ask her. the church people are crazy to get her to sing it calls a crowd when they know she
