I got a card from Lena this morning she is home by now but Mrs Leggs family are down to their shore cottage this week. they give a party to the Bamblies of Stoughton tomorrow but their house is small & hard to reach away from the water & am afraid but few will go. there are lots of children in their family & now a days they are not popular & there is not money back of them. like there is in Marion Estins family. she had the Womans club to dinner Monday over fifty attended she got up the chowder & coffee & they carried a basket lunch. Blanch said old Madam McGarvey even attended. she pinched her arm as she went by her. she gets in through her daughters in law Georges family are still away. the family of McGarvey are gaining in prominense fast. what will come next wonders will never cease. money is all that matters in this world blood is of secondary importance.
