Stoughton July 14th, 1935

Dear Folks

This is a cooler day but hot to stir around much I am here by my lonesome as usual. she went to church then came home + started again + has gone in the bus some where she knew not where. since she went off Bill has come over from Holbrook to bring her an electric light bill the last one as her house is sold to another man with a big family of 10 children. it was a big house over two hundred years old. her husbands hobby was fixing up old houses but he died before he had the chance to improve this last one. Mary Leythans boy is the one who plays the organ down to the Episcaple church + he wants her to sing in the church choir so she says she will after Mr Marshal comes home in August. he has gone to his old home in England for the month of July. having been here twenty five years. Percy sings in the choir. + Mr Reynolds is a member of the church. Mrs [[Perbeck?]] she heard, had gone to the hospital very sick + has two nurses the man from Holbrooks stops on his way to take her down to church told her Mrs P boards with them. everybody is good to Blanch Barry she is looked out for by the people here + everywhere. she

Mr Filger has just brought me some cherries + says he will give me more if I like them they are pretty sour but good she is putting them up. Gertrude came over. she was all in from hunting for a cottage they found one in Chatham. but Addie nagged her all the way home the traffic was terrible she said. poor Gertrude. I hope she marries to get away from Addie if nothing more. she is so good + Addie I never liked
