Stoughton July 12th 1935

Dear Doris

We are having it hot as we usually do about this time of the year, they called it the hottest time of the year yesterday the thermometer went up to 90° but good air. wind NW terrible humidity. I did not sleep very well I was nervous all day & so sleep was out of the question. but nothing unusual I often have these spells. no pane just cant get composed to sleep. she was so the night before last night she slept sound. so shall I to might probably. our new neighbors are noisy so much so nighbors are complaining about them. a queer gang comes their nights. The Moriartys are going to get out. they simply cannot stand them she says they keep the racket going most all night & her husband works for Murphy (coal & ice man) he simply has to have sleep & rest night. its a shame to let such a family into this is a respectable neighborhood. Mrs Elms must get the benefit of the noise sleeping on their side of the house as she does. trust her for entering a good complaint. last night there was not a particle of
