Dear Doris
We are having three cool days since Sunday the wind got into the N West it seems so much better I hope you are have^ing it cooler also.

I am glad that the baby is enjoying her swimming & dancing exercising lessons. they certainly are doing her no harm. & tend to make her more graceful. also glad she enjoys them.

I hope the bundle reaches you safe & for her birthday. we are enjoying the strawberries expecting every box may be the last. yesterday Lawrence came over from Holbrook he started on foot but got picked up on the way with a huge boquet of roses & catalpa blossoms & a chicken for Mrs Barries birthday present. she says he never forgets it it was one of his own chickens he had dressed & cleaned we will have it for our dinner on the holiday. he seems a good hearted & strictly honest Pole. he has got a place to stay he and her cat are together at her neighbors barn all clean where they will stay untill cold weather. the breaking
