WHO'S WHO IN THE CAST

returns to NYC after living in L.A. for nine years. This marks B'way debut. Stage: Tommy, Elmer Gantry (La Jolla); The Lisbon Traviata, Our Country's Good (Mark Taper Forum); Les Misérables; Chess (national tour); Romeo and Juliet (South Coast Rep). Film/TV: recently completed Dragonstrike for TSR productions, Midnight Cabaret, "Beauty and the Beast," "Bold and Beautiful," "Santa Barbara." This is his fourth production with Des McAnuff.

CHERYL FREEMAN (The Gypsy) originated this role in La Jolla. Having resided in L.A. for two years, she happily returns to NY, where she appeared on and Off-B'way in Amen Corner, Showboat, Little Shop of Horrors, Beehive, Abyssinia, Sugar Hill and A Hot Minute. She has worked extensively in Australia (Big River), South America (Blues in the Night) and Europe in stage, TV and recording. Film: HBO's "Sunset Heat," Hangin' with the Homeboys, PBS' "Get a Life." She has performed her dynamic one-woman show in L.A. clubs and is a veteran of TV commercials. Graduate: Manhattan School of Music.

DOUG FRIEDMAN (Swing). B'way: A Chorus Line, final co. (Greg). Nat'l. tours: Cabaret with Joel Grey, A Chorus Line and Annie Get Your Gun. Also: Of Thee I Sing, Mack and Mabel and the Moulin Rouge in Paris. Love and thanks to my family, friends and Binky.

ANGELA GARRISON (Specialist's Assistant/Ensemble) comes from Baltimore, MD and is honored to be making her B'way debut in Tommy. She recently toured Europe as Anybodys in West Side Story, and her regional credits include Peggy in Godspell and Tiger Lily in Peter Pan. She is a cum laude graduate with a B.F.A. in musical theatre from Point Park College in Pittsburgh. This one's for the wind beneath my wings.

TRAVIS JORDAN GREISLER (Tommy, Age 10 Understudy), age 9, marks his Broadway debut in Tommy. Travis began professional acting at age 8 performing at the Bucks County Playhouse and other regional productions. He most recently portrayed Tiny Tim in Radio City's Christmas Spectacular. Travis would like to thank his parents, manager, and especially his sister, Taryn, for unselfishly supporting his new career.

KIMBERLY HANNON (Tommy, Age 4 Alternate) is making her B'way debut. Kim thanks her brother Joey, who performed in the nat'l tour of Bye Bye Birdie with Tommy Tune, for his love and support. Kim has appeared at the State Theater, New Brunswick, NJ. Kim studies at Center Stage, Somerville, NJ and attends second grade in Piscataway, NJ. If she's not singing, she's dancing.

EMILY HART (Tommy, Age 4 Alternate) made her acting debut at 9 months in a national commercial. TV credits: Laila Reardon on "Guiding Light," "David Letterman," many commercials and voice-overs. Emily is 7 years old and lives in Greenwich Village with her mom and four acting siblings. Tommy marks her Broadway debut. Emily thanks Ayn for introducing her to the wonderful world of musical theatre.

TODD HUNTER (Swing). Performing Arts H.S. graduate. Performed with Ann-Margret, Jennifer Holiday, Stephanie Mills, Aretha Franklin. Assistant to Maurice Hines and Joe Layton. Credits: Radio City's Christmas Spectacular, Harlem Suite, Satchmo, The Dutchman, Casio "Rapman" commercial. Performs vocally in Italy. Love to Sadia, Gayle, Ken, Cincinelli, family, friends.

PAUL KANDEL (Uncle Ernie) received a Tony Award nomination for his performance. He created this role at the La Jolla Playhouse. B'way: The Visit last season with Jane Alexander and Harris Yulin; Jake Melrose in the pre-B'way workshop of Jelly's Last Jam. Recent TV: "Fools Fire" (American Playhouse), "Law & Order," "Loving" (as the odious Mr. Phillips).
