Stoughton January 28th 1937

Dear Folks

Your letter has just arrived together with all the water departments rates, four of them , so will send them along. I came down with my first cold this week, after soaking my feet & rubbing my nose well with vicks [[Vicks]] I took two stones to bed with me & sweat all night. I felt sleepy to day so laid down on my couch, where Mrs Barry covered me up well & it is just eleven o'clock now I have been asleep so that now, I feel pretty much like my self, a little feverish once in a while but aside from  my nose running guess I am all right no sneezing or cough, I like my Vicks Vapor rub for driving off a cold & so does Mrs Barry.

Mystic called me up yesterday she still likes her place, very much, it gives the woman a chance to go so guess they will just up [[put]] with her even if she is such a talker & I dont think she has much work to do so that will suit Mystic. 

Mamie Kate has lost her Emily & she is alone so she wanted her cousin to visit her not to tell her troubles it seems she is going to go it alone for a while. She has a woman to come and do the cleaning always & Eldon gets his own breakfast is not
