Dear Folks,
Another cloudy day but no rain so far. I think this weather prevails along the eastern part of the country and through the west they are having snow. We hear of streams rising and causing floods on account of so much rain. even causing earth to cave in on account of such down pours in Spring field doing lots of damage. every thing happens that is devilish these days. Its a pity something couldn't happen to the "Great I am" with his chin stuck up high in the air. such things we cannot account for and still thing go on. (They flourish like the green bay tree).
Well Mrs Barry has gone with her Worcester crowd there are eight of them who meet + play auction bridge after their dinner at some hotel. Nelly called up this morning to see if she would'nt take her, but she is not one of them + cant play well enough they are good to her + pity her but she is childish + old. She wanted Barta to take her for a week, the same as she often has, but Amy is there this week. then she asked Alice Tilden but she says her rooms are all full, so you see any thing to get away from there, but guess she will have to stick it out even if it is hard, and make the best of it.
