Dear Folks
The day is cloudy + there has come a change in temperature since morning. it says rain for tomorrow. I am here alone + for something to do will write this letter.
I have not much to to tell Gladys came yesterday + was here to supper. she looks healthy + still works in Brockton she goes back + forth every day + gets at work by eight o'clock I tried to find out something about her mother, but she was very reticent. Mrs Barry says she probably felt ashamed. We like her both of us. I was awful tired + nervous + felt glad when she went. if it had not been for my darned nervous condition, it would been different, but I am better off here by myself, where the constant talk is not kept up. I simply cannot stand it. my nerves get on edge + I feel like screaming.
I have enough long cloth to make those little slips also a good pattern. so will begin them it will give me something to do + take up my mind. She is to the movies this afternoon. She likes to go Sunday afternoon they are continuous she says. I like to have her go. it's a rest + when she gets home
