Dear Folks
After a nice warm summer day we are now having a dark cloudy rainy one with the wind to the south. I am cleaning out boxes, bureau shelves + two shelves in the kitchen closet, for the want of something to do. 
I have just called up Maude she seems cheery + mentioned getting a nice letter from you all even Doris wrote. she seemed much pleased. she is bearing up very will + seems contented, much more than it seems possible under the circumstances. She says little Bobbie is beginning to talk, he is much pleased with the blocks Sidney gave him, + can call each one by name. he is a great comfort to her + was to Ralph the last of his life + seems as if his spirit would be drawn to him if possible, in this world now.
Bereta is down with her grip, but feels as if she has got to be able to sing two solos in church Sunday. She better go slow, she feels dreadfully to think she cannot have Dr Brides treat her. his practice has been taken away for 6 months, the penalty for getting drunk, I dont see any justice in that though. the thing is past other doctors got drunk + are more punished by not Poor Brides. he never
