Dear Folks
This is a gloomy day for shut in's, it is a snow storm coming down thick about now. the wind is south west. it will make slippery going. we have been lucky to have it stay away as long as it has most of the middle of January.
I received a letter from Mary. my letter she answered in three or four days. her sons family living in the same town is company for her in her old age. but she living on borrowed time, seems smart for a woman of her age + is lucky to retain her faculties as well as she has.
I wonder how Mamie Wales is + how Ethel + daughter fits in, they are all pretty spunky I got xmas card from them as usual this year.
I called up Maude she had the little one over there as usual, she said he enjoyed the blocks Sidney gave him + interested him very much. he is a quiet little child + was sent to them for a comfort in their affliction.
