I hope he lives, but being a heavenly child, you cannot tell my little one was taken, this one reminds me of him. Lots of things in life we cannot understand but afterwards they are made dear to us. We are governed by a supreme being they call God, the longer we live the more we realize how things work out + sometimes for our good. We are not thankful enough for our mercies. That's why we have to undergo so many hardships. It is through selfishness + greed we have war, people are growing worse instead of better, they do not recognize that things are governed by anyone but themselves, ? so many dreadful things are sent us, we have to be brought to our senses in that way. We wonder what will come next. Laugh for the good old times, where ? was an un? factor. Now we are never safe from one fay to another. I guess Lena doesn't have much time to write or we should some of us get a letter from her but perhaps she is waiting for something good to turn ?, like the Hassingtons. I hear there is a great rush of people going down there then winter + hotels are over? + people can't find accommodations. I feel satisfied with my old New England state of Mass two ? coming together would seem funny to me. Comfort is what people ?, they are like cats, they want their ease. Hope they get it. I will take my stone in bed Ma and be contented.
