Stoughton January 9th 1937

Dear Folks, 
           We are having very mild & cloudy days since the rain but when it does clear it may be colder. I am afraid such weather breeds sickness we hear a lot about it in the papers, but the cold & severe weather we are sure to get sooner or later. I am busy these days serving making up those goods you sent me Xmas for a dress, it will look very pretty. I think an after noon 
dress will be very nice. I dont go much these times. we miss the Harringtons they were always ready to take us to places, very kind hearted people. we had a letter from her this week, I am sending it along for you to read.
           Myrtie called us up on the phone yesterday. so far she is pleased with the place. she liked very much. says the rooms are small & the work is easy. she does'nt have to get up early in the morning as Mrs Colcord would rather get up in the morning to get Gregorys breakfast. so she gets up around eight or nine O'clock in time to get breakfast for Mabel.
