Stoughton January 6th 1987
Dear Folks
After two days of spring like weather it has grown cold during the night & is now freezing with a promise of snow. well wintry weather has held off wonderfully well so far we cannot find any fault so let the change come & be over it. snow we all dread, it makes such slippery going & also cost so much to break out for the town. its a good sunny day & that is much to be thankful for at least.
I am sending down a bundle by the bake he is very good to mail any bundle for me. hope it gets there safe. did you receive that check that was sent in my last letter? probably Sidney had reached home by now, much improved by his short vacation. We received a nice letter from the Harringtons they are in Charleston Mass & have put up their car for the winter & writes they have no use for their car in there but will travel by train out to Stoughton to see us later on when they strike something in the way of a job as they have not forgotten us by any means & never shall. they asked Mrs Barry to pray for them, for us they regard her as near to God always. it was a good meaning letter she worships me as Mrs Barry says & feels that
