Gertrudes talent is writing. lots of her stories have been published. she let us read her book of little articles she had written from time to time when she was young. before she went to work, now she never gets time. they have nothing to do with the Toomey family. it was at their party that young Frank insulted one of Gertrudes guests. at her party by taking her out in a room by themselves & trying to make a date with her, he got the devil for it. Mrs Ballentine gave him an ear ache which made the whole family mad. he has been refused to hang around the Gebhart house & barets lets him nock at her door till he gets sick of it. his disease is such that he wants a woman
