Anna said she did not send any this year but she received a lot.  Mamie Kate sent us a bottle of elderberry flower wine + Kate Dykernan gave me a lovely Poinsettia she always sends me a pot of flowers xmas or Easter + Grace sends a card + flower in memory of her mother. Louis is suffering from rheumatism, they live down in an old meadowy place where its damp, enough to breed disease + they must be pretty tough to stand it as well as they have.  My fowl we had for xmas has lasted untill Wednesday it was much better than the thanksgiveng one. Very tender + nice also inexpensive only $1.19 with all those vegetables + a loaf of white bread thrown in a good bargain. I received these letters all in a day from you yesterday the last one 27 came through + I got it Monday. that was pretty paper [Ilya?] gave you she is a very nice girl + shows her good blood + fine personality I wonder how his mother is she may go before he does, aside from his loss of eyesight his health is not so bad. but we never can tell about such things. Mystie[?] was here Sunday wonders will never cease. she was called down by Alice to go to the Boleords to take care of the old man Mrs Barry + I think she may fit in there all right. we dont know how Alice got hold of the place we had nothing to do with it I told Mystie they were nice people but we know nothing more about the case. hope she she stays  Ma.
