& a half long very beautiful. it was a very beautiful thing to do but she appreciated her stay here while she was invited around with her sisters friends daytimes. Mamie Kate gave me another bottle of home made wine. I had lots of cards & one from Nellie Standish she was the prettiest writer of them all. she went to Mrs Steeles funeral, a poem written by Mattie & Katie Steele to their mother was read by Mrs Morris at the funeral & brought tears to the eyes of them all. so Mrs Barry said, it was the best funeral sermon that she ever listened to, nothing said, she was Christian [[Science?]] & always told them to carry her funeral out like it were a reception. which they certainly did, & he combined her belief, with his, it was well delivered. she said she lived up to her belief & died in her tracks. During the sermon Lareta took out her puff & powder & glass & went over her face before them all. she is doing funny things & Amy says she is going just like her mother & flies into a rage at nothing. she uses Barbera terrible. nocked her down on the kitchen floor, swears at her for nothing. then the next minute she is right the reverse. too bad. I have never liked her, she tries to immitate people with money. but cant carry it out. pays $15 to have her hair marseled because Marion Estin does, & dont look like anything, her hair is coarse & it grows both ways like a cowlick. well Mr Gilcher came early to day & brought me a box of his wifes home made cookies in fancy shapes they are always so good, Germans they are good when they take as you know. everybody is good to me. hope you are all well.
