Stoughton December 17th 1936

Dear Folks,

A stormy day it started early last night mild but threatens to be cold by night, when the wind will blow from the Nort West with great felocity.

Nothing much has happened Mrs Barry went to Brockton and finished up her Xmas shopping she has remembered every body she ever knew in either presents or cards. she believes in spending her money as she goes & in that way she has it come to her again. a funny rule but that is what she goes by.

I will try to get your bundle started some time this week as your slips were finished yesterday. I received a xmas card from the Harringtons yesterday but we dont know where they are located yet. it was mailed from the North Postal Anex, so we think they are in a pretty poor quarter, where they dont mean their friends will know much about them, untill they are able to do better, strike a job or get a little something to live on. they have three months rent of their house in advance. I pity them, she is very proud & he is easy going, a good man at heart & I miss them very much.
