Dear Folks,

It is still raining we have had a week of this same kind of weather all but Monday which was cold but fair. when it clears it will be cold. wind will be to the N West the predictions tell us. the bundle was sent Thursday & has got there by the time this letter reaches you.

We have just heard Edward former King speak over the radio. it came in very clear and loud. he spoke lovely of his family. he said they married the ones they loved and were happy, he was sorry to disappoint his dear Mother but wanted to marry the woman he loved.

I dont think much of Wally Simpson & if he marries her he will be turned down like the rest. wait and see time will tell. Mrs Barry dont think she is any worse than the Kings wife, she was a commoner but I tell her she was not divorced, that is contrary to the rules of their church and in this country it is too common. a pity it is so. they don't think any thing of being divorced three & four times among the moneyed class of people look at Rooservelts daughter she set a pretty example at the head of our nation. they are the most depraved family that we ever had in the white house. he is a cripple & the King stutters & has no strength of mind says yes to every thing & not a favorite with his people.
