Dear Folks
The thermometer got down to 10° above this morning at 8 O'clock when I first got down + and now after noon its 30° + rising thanks be + the sun is coming out, for a while it clouded over. the coldest November it has been for many years. + Ride out the weather prospector tells us that December will be the same. so there you have it. we kept the kitchen fire over night, so our house was good + warm this morning. we take our stones to bed every night + they hold the heat + are good + warm in the morning. much better than a hot water bottle. but she has a bottle besides. I dont need any warm sheets I have patched up those old ones you sent + have some besides + we dont feel the cold at night we are nice + cozy after we get to bed.
Sunday Bill came over in his blue truck about 8 O'clock & what do you think, he came in proud as a young boy with a big box + in it was a very large ice cream cake handsomely decorated & it said a merry Thanksgiving. one that Mr. Hooker had + was left once. he drives over here from Holbrook summers always with ice cream he is also a good friend to Bill. who often brings ice cream to us from his place, he has the reputation of having the best always + has made a fortune out of his business. we had not seen Bill since sometime in October. he says he has more business than he can attend to + gives
