De Folks
Our nice day yesterday turned into a snow storm in the afternoon + today it is cloudy + the ground covered with a thin covering of snow. the children on the hill were improving their chance in the coasting, before the sun came out to melt it away.
I have just hung out my first few pieces to dry if it comes out later, on the porch so there clothes are safe from wind or storm + we dont have to go out in slippery going.
Our turkey was also tough I laid it to the cooking but perhaps not. it tasted good + so did the cranberry sauce. also the mince pie. cranberries are higher than they ever were before. ours were 19 cents awful they were good + dark red no waste.
I perhaps shall send down the little serving bags the first or middle of the week, I have them in a box + will ask our baker if he will take it down, he is very good to me always.
The sun has come out. it has cleared off + it seems nice the rest of the day will be much more enjoyable to us all. I hope you are having it pleasant + the girl over her sickness. by this time. there is not much pleasure in bringing up a family. the anxiety over their little sick spells makes ones nerves on edge, but if you can live + see them grown up
