Dear Folks. Stoughton Nov 27th 1936
Our snow has all disappeared two mild days + a rain last night finished it. the children were the only ones sorry to see it go. they had a lovely coasting each day + way into the night before it melted away but the day it came was the 24th so according to signes we are to have 24 snow storms. the paper last night said the sign still held true. I hope for one it doesnt. if theres one thing I dread its snow. it makes one feel shut in. but am thankful it went so quick, as the first one goes so go the rest.

I got up this morning feeling life was not worth living, we had no more than sat down to our breakfast, before the door bell rang + it was a boy from Jays the flourest, with a big box of flowers, over a yard long. on the opening of the box, was a large boquet of chrysanthemums, 6 large yellow ones + commons size pink + a lot of yellow button with greens to set them off, making in all two huge bunches of beautiful flowers for our thanksgiving holiday. from Kate & Arthur Dykeman. they are sure to remember me every year, usually though at Easter. Grace too in memory of her mother, always sends me flowers. well I hope they may always be blessed. Louis is suffering from rheumatism, so his wife told us when we called up to see if they had any apples, but they said they had
