Stoughton November 24th 1986
Dear Folks, 
We woke up to find we were in the midst of a heavy snow storm. I have just been out to sweep a path for our letter carrier, the snow is coming down thick + fast. hope it clears so not to be a deep snow to cost the town an added debt to break out the roads. no green holiday this year. As we did not have any thanksgiving at home last year, I had her go down to the market yesterday + she picked out the smallest turkey in the market, with a man who is in there + we rely on his judgement always. we have lived on tripe for three or four days + a change we think will be for the better, although both of us are found of tripe, but this time they sent up more than we ordered, so we are bound to use it up as it is beautiful tripe + well pickled, as we both like it. I am going to make some mincee pies for dered apples of Louis Dykeman but his wife says their apples were poor + 10 cents worth of celery + cranberries, they were 19 cents awful, but thanksgiving would not be natural without them so I will [[?]] on something else
