Dear Folks.

This morning before making the fire the thermometer registered 12 [[degree symbol]] above as it reads at 8 O'clock the wind blew a gale two nights & one day which brought us this cold snap.

Mrs. Barry has been working her head off for the last two days she is chairman of her club for the chickataubut supper committee & is trying to get up the supper for 40 people ordering the food so Ethel who is Eldons niece & lives at the chickataubut headquarters to prepare suppers for these crowds chosen by Dr Faxon. she finds that most of the people who should attend the supper are obliged to attend the funeral of a prominent man that comes off at the same time the supper is at 2 O'clock so she feels that it will be a failure, but tells Ethel to get it up & not skimp on the food, she says that she will bring me some thats left, she did the last time. her church gave a supper last night but she bought a ticket & did not go. Miss Ruth Cobb was on the committee & brought it up to her, there was enough so she shared it with me turkey & vegetables & hot rooles, cranberry jell & mince pie. she had to go out yesterday in spite of the cold to see the rest of them & find out what they, who were on the supper committee
