Stoughton November 5th 1936

Dear Folks.

It has cleared and the sun seems pleasant. I got your letter & your Entomology paper this morning. Mrs. Barry says she will read it but doubt she will understand much it is about. she is going to sing in church Sunday an anthem Frank Reynolds is coming tomorrow night here to practice rather than have her go down to the church. they are all crazy to hear her sing & in that way she feels it helps the church in drawing the crowd to hear her sing. I have just called up Maude & find she has been having a sick spell. she had a fall & guess it shook her up & Florence has been sick, so she has had the baby to take care of & guess she has got tired, she says & besides she has had company for a week I think she said from Winthrop. so guess she doesn't have time to be lonesome. Little Henrys wife is getting a good deal out of Maude in the care of her baby. he is there most of the time she has these sick times frequently lately. I asked Maude if she was in a family way, she said no. not much of a worker I guess. likes to be babied herself I suppose. Well the election passed off I presume they are satisfied but in four more years what will this country be? he is another despot like Hitler & Mussolini it will ruin our country as it did theirs.
