Dear Folks
We have had a very pleasant week. today the weather has been ideal, so the fire seemed to much for real comfort it says cooler though tonight.

I have just got home from Rebecca Standish funeral Irma came up this forenoon + [[and]] asked me if I wanted to go with her + [[and]] I said yes but I had not though theres any way of going but if she would take me of course that altered the question it was in the undertakers home + [[and]] a large funeral with the order of Rebeccas who turned out in great numbers with a great profusion of flowers Will Standish + [[and]] family were there + [[and]] Miles came clear across the room to shake me by the hand + [[and]] thank me for coming. Irma + [[and]] I sat in the room with the mourners + [[and]] followed to the grave, there were a lot of carriages and autoes. I had a good outing + [[and]] it was not a sad affair, just as it should be after a person 87 years + [[and]] has lived an honest + [[and]] useful life goes to the next world + [[and]] joins the rest who have gone before + [[and]] are waiting for them. I gave her a few of my chrysanthemums + [[and]] she went home much pleased. I am sending down the insurance bill not knowing what else to do
