car as she sang and then they had her stay for her dinner, much against her will. for she wanted to get home early, but found it impossible, so I warmed up my coffee & opened a can of beans & had some mince pie & cheese. I managed all right. & found that the "Lord helps those that help themselves". everything has come out all right so far for me. for which I am very thankful, my kindlings I have waited for so long for came yesterday, with a promise from Cary not to keep me waiting next time, he told me to drop him a line next time. he is so good to me & so is everybody & there is much to be thankful for. I am still worried over who is going to elected for president, but guess it will be the same old fool. his picture is in all our papers & I feel disgusted. Langdon has given out in his throat with so much so much speechmaking, but guess others will help out as well as possible. Hoover is good & drives his truths right home. he is much better than Langdon for he knows the ropes & has had the experience & people are more convinced there by. Now I am glad you are getting over your worry over Doris & trust things are more cheerful & natural. it would be nice if we could get through this world without so much worry, we must try to throw trouble away. it makes us grow old. thank God for our mercies & appreciate what we get.
