Dear Folks,

We are having nice warm weather still with a little rain this afternoon. I got your letter this afternoon also the check too bad to send it to me every time but thank you just the same
I was glad you were painting again its a good way to forget your self & relax.
I was surprised to read in the paper last night of the death of Elisha Capen (Squiggins) he died suddenly so the paper said Alice called up just now & she heard that Caddell who lives in the Bird place, found him dead. I must call up the Harringtons to find out the particulars. I pity Emily she is in no condition to live there alone. she seems a feeble old woman. funny he went first he is ten years younger, she will soon follow.

Well the company are going away tomorrow she has been somewhere every day since she came and tomorrow will be the first dinner she will eat here. I like her very much she is very inteligent & a worker, they are very different but united, more so than the older sister & Blaneke. Ally thinks more of Mamie than she does of her sister, & said so here, but Josephine is loyal to this one & every one of her sisters friends have feted her since she came here she has seen trouble lost two husbands.
