so Abbie Joel used to say. I remember Myrtie used to have him on the string. by the way Myrtie is getting through at Mamie Kates & is going for her old age pension. she is leaving for Vermont Friday she called us up yesterday & talked very nice & now she has got to put in her time in Vermont. after being in Massachusetts 9 months of the year in order to be considered an eligible citizen to draw the money from that state. she will have something to keep her for the rest of her days I hope. wish Alice might. I called up Maude this afternoon & asked her about that chair & she said she would send it over so we could have it to fix up with the rest. she had a fall while down to her shore place, she caught her foot in the root of a tree & fell she said her leg was black & blue & pained her yet, a wonder it was'nt worse I told her she might have broken it or her hip. Amy & Careta are getting ready for the auction on Saturday it is to be for the Marden furniture. they have had to bring the furniture from the Boston house to be auctioned off out to the house here & they will sell the house in Boston if possible. it has been a hard job to get things ready & they are tired out, but Careta has been allowed more money through her brother being in with the Judge in the settlement of the property. so now she wont have to worry they say. I am sorry you are in trouble over the hospital operation but trust it goes off all right being young, it is quick over also so dont fret Ma.
