letters to mail Sunday night so they went out early the next morning. I gave the paper boy a letter of mine & one of hers to mail last week about two hours after Mell Leonards little girl came up with them & said her father saw him throw them over his fence & sent her out to see what he threw away & from the address sent her up here with them thinking they belonged here lucky for us he saw him do it. Mrs Barry lay in wait for him & told him he was ashamed & lied out of it but she said a man who rescued them saw him do it. she scart him by telling him he was liable to a fine for destroying mail & he had better not do it again. the little scamp well I hope he will get his pay sometime lucky we let it drop by I guess the law would not hold him liable. we should have given him five cents I think. thats what they expect now a days.

I must get this into the door before the mail man comes now
