[[top margin]] PS I have worn my new dress I made for the first time to day Mrs Barry likes it. I made the baby a dress out of what was left after the last summers pattern, bows on the shoulders & ruffle on the bottom, so it would be long enough & a little pocket with a ruffle around it. Dear Folks

The weather is ideal since the shower of last night which came to give us moisture, for we needed a little for things were pretty dry berries are coming along & fruit of all kinds. corn is tasseling out over in Pete McGarvies garden.

Little Brownie is up here taking his ease. he comes up as he used to once in a while. Sundays his folks are away & he is lonesome he wants us to pet him, he is a fool dog as Sidney says. but we cant turn him away he is so good & a poor dumb animal. Mr Ring they say always give him a doughnut.

There is a police dog over accross the way and a half grown kitten that have been very companionable & when the family go away & leave them, you see the dog lieing down with the kitten perched on his back asleep. but for a few days back the kitten we have missed & think it must have been stolen or followed some one off, as we have not seen her around. the dog cried in a mournful tone all one night.

We are looking for Mrs Barrys sister & husband who were coming from New York here by auto to see Mamie Kate who is very poorly. they are making a flying visit & not going to stay over night.
