Mrs Harrington has been to Arthur Talbot to get family history. she knows more about our family history then I do. she even succeeded with him, he praised Arthur & I to her. but warned her against Myrtie being a mischief. maker. he said Horace was smart & was not as bad as he might be. that his bark was worse than his bite. nothing jars her. she is smart. they both think a lot of me & are ready to do anything for us both. last night for a change I took the old rocking chair that Aunt Rebecca sent up to us & took off the covering & found a beautiful Boston rocker an awful job as the tacks were rusted & came out hard. too bad she ever stuck so many into the old chair. it is well preserved by being so covered up. Mrs Barry thinks it beautiful since it was uncovered. I am glad Doris had so many nice presents. hope they may be entertaining to her for some little time to come. we have not had many mosquitoes so far it seems good. they are fixing the streams in town so they will not breed 25 men are employed for that purpose. we are to have a new post office they are trying to decide on the place where it is to be built Jimmie Lihans land John Rodgers, Wales lot Chicataubut, & Swans & Web Smiths they are all anxious to sell for the new site. I hope it will be handier for the public than the present one probably it will be much larger Ma
