Agreement between
A Q Porter and the

adult laborers of color employed and working on his plantation for the year 1865

The undersigned A Q, Porter in consideration of the services of the colored laborers performed and to be performed during the year 1869 resp. to the last day of said year agrees and binds himself to feed clothe and furnish medical attention to the undersigned adults [[strikethrough word illegible]] laborers and their families for the balance of this year as heretofore and in addition  to [[strikethrough]] furnish [[/strikethrough]] said laborers family one tenth of the growing crop to be divided amongst each of said laborers in such proportion as may be equitable according to the relative ability of laborers of each to be determined by such person or persons as they may agree upon to mark such division.  The undersigned laborers in their part respectively agree in consideration of the above agreement to their employer A Q Porter to faithfully labor for him for the balance of this year [[strikethrough]] year [[/strikethrough]] obeying his orders in all things and conducting themselves in a peacable orderly manner up to the first day of January next,
