memorandum of an agreement entered into this 22nd day of August 1865 between Tennsel Bill [[Strikethrough]] Edmund [[/Strikethrough]] Joe Sny Ann Sally Agnes Rindy & Caroline Freedmen of Franklin County State of Mississippi and E. W. Brown of Franklin State of Mississippi

Witnesseth that the said Tennsend Bill Joe Sny Ann Sally Agnes Rindy & Caroline do agree to perform good & faithful service for the consideration hereinafter mentioned during the remainder of the year in what ever capacity the said E. W. Brown may direct

And the said E. W. Brown for the consideration here in before mentioned agrees to furnish good & sufficient food fuel quarters medical attention and clothing during the remainder of the present year 1865.
