Agreement With Freedmen This agreement made and entered into this 16 day of October A.D. 1865 by and between James Hutchins of Pike County and State of Mississippi of the first part, and the persons herein after named and undersigned Freedmen of the same place, parties hereto of the second part Witnessth: The undersigned laborers, on James Hutchins Plantation, hereby agree to work on said Plantation the balance of the year 1865. in consideration of good and wholesome food, clothing, quarters, Medical attendance and such other conditions and privileges as are required by General Order No 34 Head Quarters Department of Mississippi March 23'd 1865, and for the following considerations. In Testimony Whereof, the said parties have affixed their names to this agreement at Holmesville, State of Mississippi on the day and date aforesaid.
