Know all men by these present that we Henry Brown Cornelus Dillyhov Virginia Freeman Fanny Sealis Rachel Ell and Elizabeth Brown Free persons of color do hereby obligate and bind ourselves to live with & Labor for Benjamin Whitehead on his plantation In Franklin county Miss During the year 1865 to submit ourselves to his order and that of his appointed agent or mangger to work and Labor faithfully for his Benefit to conduct ourselves in proper and worthy manner not to leave the premises without his permission or that of his agent and in all things to render such obedience and act as duty requires. And in consideration of the above obligation we are to receive wages at Rate of Four Dollars per month from the first Day of January 1865 to be Furnished wholsome Rations Comfortable clothing Quarters and Medical attention
