Agreement with Freedmen
This agreement made this day of 1865 by and between Jnos Wilson of the county of Chickasaw and State of Mississippi of the first part and the persons hereinafter name and undersigned Freedmen of the same place parties have to the secon part 
witneth That for the purpose of cultivation the plantation known as the Wilson plantation in the county and State afforsaid during the year commencing on the first day of the year 1865 an terminating on the 1st day of January 1866 the sajd John S Wilson of the first part in consideration of the premises & consideration hereafter mentioned on of the parties of the second part agrees to furnish to Said laborers and thoes rightly dependent apon them free of charge clothing & food of good quality and suficient Quantity medial attention when nesesary an kind and humane treatment Said Wilson is also to give them one tenth (1 10th) of corn cotton & whatever is raised on the farm during the year 1865 The crop on its proceeds Shall be devided among the laborers by said Wilson an alaborers in a just and equatable maner thy shall be responcible for all tools &c place in thier charge an shall not allow any straglers to visit thier Quarters without reporting Them.
