Stoughton June 15th 1929

Dear Doris.

We are suffering from a heat wave. We have had it now since the middle of the last week & no sign of any let up. It is 80° now & I have just got home from down to the store where I have been for something for our dinner. Luna went away this morning, she came Monday. Is looking fine. Seems very natural but is careful about her dirt. She occupied herself sorting out your old letters & placing them in their order for future reference, but we could not find the California letters she started to find those, as she was anxious to take them back for Mrs. Pettengill for her boys are going out there. (Sent them by Dartmouth where the older one is a student.) Our little family of robins moved out during yesterday & last night so their next was deserted this morning. There nest was too crowded & they had felt uneasy after the big bird was put in. I hope they got away safely. There are lots of cats around. Every thing was very quiet so guess they
