Stoughton March 31st 1929

Dear Doris

This is a fine sunny Easter. I have been out all the day puttering around to enjoy the sun & air. your plants came yesterday. So Pa & I have been setting them out in a box this morning. they have fine roots, so Pa got the nice rich soil out of the hot bed & then we put them in the sun, up in the North chamber. but you must name them for I dont know for the life of me what they are. they look like the cosmidium. We have had a cold wind, most the whole week. but things are coming slowly. Some of the jonquills are up and budded. we have lots of snow drops & the crocus in bloom. Pa has been digging up my striped grass out by the old stump. but has left some. it was spreading too fast. I went down to Aunt Sues. Lou Tucker & his wife came while I was there. Myrtie is still down to Sandwich at the Ministers house. taking care of the house since the wife died. I cant imagine such a combination, can you?
