& I went over to see Sidney's mother the other afternoon, she had been over to see Winnie Trollope to have her feet fixed, Ralph took her over. I guess she does not pretend to do any walking. Hattie Ripley has been in town also this past week, she is asking for aid from Stoughton, but she won't get it here for she has been away too long. Pa says it will have to come out of the town where she has lately gained a residence. I suppose her money is all gone & her health is bad. I am sorry she let her money slip through her fingers as she did, she had no business head. The robins are here also, my piece of suet calls the woodpeckers, I have seen two kinds picking it. the striped & the red headed, they come every little while, all through the day. I suppose the little one is still improving in getting around. does she show signs of cutting her teeth. Gertrudes baby dont seem to mind when hers come through, she had four. your baby is backward in hers. also in talking, but never mind. dont worry so much about her when she gets too stuffed, its all in the family.
