representing the different states their uniforms in the bands & each band of music I heard. say they were dressed something elegant as he described them & they often described Hoover looking so smiling all through & waving at the ones in the march as they passed by I guess there was hardly anything but what I caught here by my lonesome. 
Well we awoke this morning to find that our rain had ended & the ground covered with snow, in spite of the slush I must go down after groceries, for I seem to be out of about everything and nothing in the house to eat. It does seem good to see the sun, but the wind is cold & Pa is busy at the office as there is lots to see to & he does not know yet whether he is to have the job, they were to meet last night again, but the chairman of the board went home yesterday sick, so they could not do anything. I guess they will let him know sometime, he does not fret much Mort & Anna were up Sunday night a little while hope to get you better this morning trusting all is well I must stop to go down town now Ma
