ARTHUR L. HOLMES
290 WALNUT STREET
STOUGHTON, MASS. Feb 20th 1929

Dear Folks

After snowing since midnight it has cleared and the sun bids fair to shine all day. It is cold & winter is still with us again. I have just swept a path out to the street & was glad to get in by the warm fire side. The little birds
are out trying to find something for their breakfast where the wind swept around the corner. I tied suet on the syringa bush but they dont seem to find it. We got a letter from Lena
yesterday & I declare, anyone else would be discouraged & no doubt she is, she certainly is haveing a siege this winter. I am glad she is satisfied with Dr Ott and can live there with him for that must be some comfort. even if he dont do her any good.

pictures will come back in Sunday letter as we want to see them more
