We hear that Etta Atherton has gone to the hospital for some kind of an operation. I went down town yesterday afternoon after some cotton to put into my other bed quilt. I had enough patch work left to make little Bettie another quilt, so when I send the other one on, I can put it in. this one is smaller & not as thick. I am busy on these two, most of the time, yesterday afternoon the ground was bare & so I tried to call up Tina, but could not get any answer, so gave up going. after meeting Lonnie I found out they had changed his number. he says she is pretty poorly. The milk boy has just told me of Foust Holmes being overcome by gas fumes, they found him in his car in the garage, the door closed dead, last night about 5 o'clock. so many accidents his wife is a very nice woman lucky there are no children. Well this is all to day your letter has not come yet it is later than common. the check came yesterday
