she may go down to your place but I doubt if she is able this year. Grace Southworth does not seem to be down in Washington this winter. when we meet her she inquireS very much about how your folks are getting along & about the little one. I have been down to Pierces twice to see about my glasses & have at last got them so they are fairly good he is just ten years younger than we are. I have just got my dinner started I bought some spinnage of the Brockton man that I am cooking & Potatoes & roast beef. I guess I will feel hungry as I didnt eat but a small piece of bread for breakfast, with coffee & orange juice. The boys are coasting down the hill they will have to improve their opportunity for the sun is melting it fast. I guess they are getting ice up to Farrington still.  Ma

Dear Folks

The day is mild & so far sunny, but the sun came up pink in the east, which denotes foul weather later. 
  
I have just emptied the ashes & put in a dish of apples to bake for supper. We have a market in where Nickols store used to be which displays their fruit & vegetables to great advantage, it is a wonderful window display for this town, Lena used to trade there while she run the house, they carry everything. their bread 8 cts a loaf. I think they catch most all the trade in town, or the center of the town, The new business that is coming into the Withington
